Our experience is that practical matters like work schedules are generally agreed to within the anesthesia departments, in such a way as to provide built-in flexibility for all physicians. While policy development and business functions including hospital and payor contracting, regulatory compliance, employment law, pension plan management and the host of administrative aspects involved in running a private practice are left to your professional practice administrators. It’s a method that leaves you free to focus on patient care, while providing you with the assurance that there’s a team of professionals looking out for your business interests.
