Charlie Chase, CAA

Charlie completed a Master of Science in Anesthesia at the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine after earning degrees in both biology and German, along with a chemistry minor, at the University of Northern Iowa. He also studied biology and epidemiology at Ludwig Maximilians Universität München.

Charlie has worked as a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant at Saint Louis University Hospital. Prior to this, he worked in clinical research, medical writing, phlebotomy, and healthcare data collection roles in both the U.S. and Germany, gaining experience in everything from patient interaction to clinical trial oversight. Currently, Charlie serves as Treasurer and Secretary for the Washington Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants (WAAAA).

Charlie is fluent in both German and English and also speaks conversational Dutch and Spanish, as well as basic Japanese. He has long been drawn to the Pacific Northwest and enjoys exploring its natural beauty through hiking and photography. Having admired the region’s temperate rainforest environment for many years, Charlie is excited to make it his home through his work with OAG, fulfilling a long-held personal goal.
