Biography

Dr. Guenther completed a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), following his anesthesiology residency at OHSU. Prior to specializing in anesthesiology, he completed two years of general surgery training at the Medical University of South Carolina. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences and his Bachelor of Science in Biology, summa cum laude, from the University of Colorado Denver.

Dr. Guenther has a diverse clinical background spanning pediatric anesthesiology, general anesthesiology, surgery, and urgent care. He has also contributed to research and scholarly work in pediatric care, cardiovascular health, and perioperative medicine, with multiple peer-reviewed publications and presentations. His work at OHSU has included a project focused on developing a peer support system for healthcare providers following traumatic clinical events.

With his specialized training in pediatric anesthesiology and broad clinical experience, Dr. Guenther brings a thoughtful and well-rounded perspective to caring for our youngest patients.
